Non asbestos. Flame-Gard is made from extra heavy duty, premium grade material that provides superior surface protection against heat/flame damage when soldering and brazing in confined areas. Flame-Gard is the only product that has the correct material thickness-to-torch heat ratio for adequate protection. Plus heavy-gauge aluminum backing allows shaping for a specific contour.
