Does the Yamaha EF4000 come with a battery? Also, is 'economy idle' like Honda's 'eco-throttle', that is, does the unit power down when you are using less power (saves gas, less noise)?

A. The Yamaha EF4000DE does not include the battery. Yes the Economy idle reduces engine speed when there is no electricty demand in order to save gas and reduce noise.
